Shout Out to Our Transportation Department

By Dr. Kevin Godden, Superintendent of Schools

We are often reminded that it takes an entire village, all of us, to raise a child. We sometimes don’t know all the villagers in our community and the important work they do. We have over 3,000 students who take one of our buses to and from school, and you only need to think for a minute about the complexity of all that goes into making this happen so smoothly. From receiving and tracking registrations, bookings, routing, logistics and maintenance, our Transportation Department does an amazing job of getting students to and from school safely every day. As we think of the work that they do, we are reminded that our drivers are typically the first and last District person these kids every day - an important experience in the lives of our children.

And so with that reminder, I would like to give a special shout out to our Transportation Department...

  • The Mechanics: Nerinder Dhaliwal, Greg Lehner and Ray Janzen (pictured above)

Thank you for the work that you do for our students!
