Télexw means "To Learn"  |  The Indigenous Education Department holds weekly Télexw sessions and are opening them up to all educators within the district.

Reading With Indigenous Students!
Come and explore the joys of reading with students. This session will focus on whyreading is important, ways to support students in their reading journey, understandingthe components of reading and helping students develop reading fluency.

This session will explore suggested resources for teaching about the history ofresidential schools and the effects that these schools and the system had (and continueto have) on First Nations individuals, families, and communities. An emphasis will beplaced on teaching through discussion, picture books and story.

They ASSIST clients in navigating throughout their pathway of care. By WORKINGclosely with Health Care providers and community services to enhance the spiritual,mental, emotional and physical wellness while accessing services. EMPOWER clientswith knowledge about the health and wellness system so that they can engage inappropriate services. Wellness System Navigators session will START you on yourtransformation journey in becoming a Healthy, Self-Determining and Vibrant Being.MENTOR and provide the tools to develop your own health and wellness plan, using aholistic approach so that you can reach your full potential.
